ACHS THEATRE ARTS

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT / DONATIONS NEEDED

Parent help is needed for the following:

           DRAMA MAMA/PAPA - Be our class mom/dad! Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, outreach to new parents, liaison to Ms. Heartt,                field trips, fundraising, family meals, and end-of-year banquet. As thanks for your efforts, receive a Drama t-shirt, 2 free tickets at every show with choice seating, and will be invited to join us on our annual class trip.

          FUNDRAISING/RAFFLE ORGANIZER - Coordinate fundraising efforts by eliciting donations and advertising, assemble raffle baskets, and run                     fundraising during plays and events.

          GROUP SALES - Volunteers are needed to find groups interested in attending plays, to include but not limited to area schools, senior centers, etc.

          PUBLICITY - Make sure that play posters go up around the community and that announcements are placed in area newspapers.

          TECH WEEK MEALS - Provide a meal for cast and crew during tech week. Volunteer parents are asked to deliver the food, serve the meal, and help           clean up. Parents may choose to donate the cost of a meal instead.

          COSTUMES - Volunteer parents will assist the Costume Crew with various projects involving costumes.

          CONCESSIONS (FOOD SALES) - Volunteer to help supervise sales of snacks for plays and events.

          STRIKE/BUILD CREW - Parent volunteers will help as needed with set construction and strike for winter and spring plays.

 

WISH LIST 

          HIGHLIGHTERS - There are never enough highlighters!

          PAINT - any water-based paint you no longer need can be donated to us to use for scene painting.

          COSTUMES - We are always in need of costume pieces, menswear in particular! If you are cleaning out your closets, think of us!

          SNACKS - Drama students are always hungry after school and before rehearsal. Help them make good dietary choices by donating healthy, filling             snacks. Suggestions include individually wrapped packages of nuts, granola bars, Cup o Noodles, or fruit bars.

Donate by writing a check to our ACHS Alliance account to receive a tax-deductible receipt. BE SURE TO WRITE "DRAMA" in the memo line.
